It's a shame. I think with a more realistic fuel purchase option or something it could be a fun place to stop once again.
Extensive tree cutting has widened the approach corridor to Runway 10. Also, tree cutting has improved the visibility between the paved and the turf runways (which intersect each other).
I was there for about 10mins to chat with the old guys, and there was no relief for the $10.
So, if you go there ....don't stop.
I like this airport but they are enforcing a $10 ramp fee. It's waved with the purchase of 12 gallons. (My airplane holds 12gal total)
Awesome place to watch airplanes and helicopters. Also to practice those soft and short field landings.
Recently they put a sign about flight school. Stop for more info and the person at the front desk told me they kind of have a flight school but he didn't know anything about it. Anybody wants to get their "kind of pilot license" this is the right place for you.
